OL Popo Aumavae, St. Mary’s High Rams

The 6-foot-4, 300-pound junior became a national name while on the images-2recruiting/workout camp circuit last spring/summer, and was selected the Tri-City Athletic League Player of the Year after the Rams rolled to the title.

Aumavae’s strength and agility were critical in the Rams’ run to the Sac-Joaquin Section Division 1 semifinals – as a sophomore, Aumavae helped the Rams to the Section Division title game. The Rams averaged 408 yards and 39 points a game, while going 12-2 with losses to Section D1 finalist Folsom and three-time defending state champ Central Catholic.
