2015 Starbucks/Black Hat Football Offensive MVP: McNair High WR Derrion Grim

Filed in Uncategorized by on December 13, 2015

He had the most productive regular season of any receiver in California history, and he’s headed to Nebraska to play for the Cornhuskers in The Big 10. Grim played just 10 games, but was a stat machine.

He finished with 96 catches for a whopping 1,928 yards and 34 touchdowns – his TD mark tied the state record for most TDs in an overall season (he shares the record with a player who had 14 games).

Grim made it clear in the season opener that he was going to be a terror for opposing secondaries: He caught 12 passes for 238 yards and six TDs in a victory over Calaveras.
