LB Anthony Machado, Los Banos Tigers

The 5-foot-10, 1205-pound senior was the Western Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Year and was the cornerstone of the defense for the Tigers, who reached the Sac-Joaquin Section Division 4 semifinals before falling.

Coach Dustin Caropresso shifted Machado to outside linebacker, to better utilize his open-field skills, and it allowed Machado to blossom.
