trade, Bushnell was thrust into the QB role the opening week of his junior season. Among the Sac-Joaquin Section’s top dual-threat QBs, Bushnell threw for 1,938 yards and ran for 709 yards (2,645), and had a hand in 43 TDs.

His signature game was Stagg’s 56-50 upset of San Joaquin Athletic Association favorite McNair — He threw for 223 yards and seven TDs, and ran for 118 yards and a TD. Yep, a whopping 8 TDs in one game. His other monster game came against rival Chavez, when he ran 24 times for 147 yards and 4 TDs, and completed 15 of 25 for 177 yards and two additional TDs. He was the SJAA Player of the Year and will shift to receiver for his college ball.
