Recap Video/Oakdale’s Mustangs stay true to their name to set up VOL showdown with Manteca

Oakdale High went old-school to hand Weston Ranch a 59-18 Valley Oak League setback this weekend, gaining all 461 yards of offense on the ground. As expected, the Mustangs’ highlight tape has plenty of big rushing plays.

Check out Cameron Cherry on the first play, getting to the sideline and cutting upfield to get the angle on the defense. A play later, Weston Ranch plays to the sweep play – and fullback Josh Jacobson goes up the middle for a long scoring run.

Oakdale (4-1, 2-0) hosts longtime rival Manteca (4-1, 2-0) next Friday at The Corral in a showdown between two of the VOL’s Big 3. Central Catholic (4-0, 2-0) beat Manteca 31-14 a week ago, and Oakdale visits Central Catholic the last week of the regular season.
