Beyer High’s season is on the line Friday night, when the Patriots (3-3, 1-1) host unbeaten Downey (6-0, 2-0) in the Modesto Metro Conference. The game will be played at Johansen High.

Downey, Modesto (4-2, 2-0) and Gregori (5-0, 1-0) are unbeaten in the MMC, which receives only two automatic playoff berths. If the Patriots fall to Downey, they would need to win their final four games to have a shot at advancing to the playoffs.
